Warm Me Up

Request: “Can I request a fic where the reader (named Effy please, if possible) is dating Elias Samson and they go to a ski resort for some RnR and Effy loses her Vcard to Elias and its passionate and super sexy? Thank you!” – @1rsolideranna

Pairing: Elias Samson x Reader/OC (Effy)

Warnings/Promises: SMUT, loss of virginity, language, slight teasing

Word Count: ~1950

Note: This was such a cute request! I’ve never been skiing, so if I get a few things wrong there, please forgive me. I hope you guys like how this turned out, and if you do please let me know with comments, reblogs and likes! There’s another Elias fic coming soon inspired by an anon request. If you have your own request (WWE, Marvel, DC, Supernatural) shoot me a message or in my private messages (and still stay anon if you like, but we can work out more details). And my tag lists are open, too. Now please enjoy!

It took your breath away as the icy air crashed into your cheeks. You kept your legs bent in an attempt to make your form more streamlined. Behind you, you could hear laughter and trash-talking as other members of the roster raced to catch up with you.

But you were winning.

With a final extra push with your poles, you passed the base of the slope. You let out a shrill squeal as the second and third placing Sasha and Bailey took turns skidding to a halt in front of you, drenching you in snow.

“I thought you never skied before?” Sasha asked, brushing some of the frosty dust off your shoulders.

“That was this morning! I’m a fast learner.” You guys moved out of the way and took off your ski’s. You were just straightening your jacket when large arms wrapped around your waist and a melody was hummed in your ear.

“How’d you do this time?” Elias’s eyebrows angled towards one another as he brushed off a large clump of snow from your back. You turned to beam up at him.

“First place. But it’s still a… um… blue run. A beginner’s route.” Your next words were cut off as Elias angled your chin up for a kiss just as brilliant and skin-tingling as the first. Two years. Two years since that first kiss that locked you two together at the hip. It seemed to pass in the blink of an eye, and yet feel like a lifetime all at the same time. He leaned close to your ear.

“Your nose is cold.” He laughed as you quickly covered your nose with your gloves trying to bring some warmth back to your face.

The slope closed up for the evening as the day darkened. You hit Elias with a snowball while he was turning in your ski’s, then raced him to the warmth of the lodge, dodging his defense. The field beside the lodge was well lit, making it the perfect place for a snowball fight. You and Sasha made a wall from someone’s failed snowman and set to pummeling Elias. Gallows was caught in the crossfire and joined your boyfriend. They let loose a close set of volleys, giving you and Sasha no time to do anything but huddle and wait for them to need time to reload.

Per usual, she circled the conversation back to your relationship with the Drifter. “So, what’s in your schedule for this afternoon? Kisses and hot chocolate… or is hot chocolate code for something else?” You giggled as she wiggled her eyebrows at you.

“Can you focus on making ammo? And no, it’s not code… but it might be soon.” A small smile escaped watching her face light up. “I feel so… complete with him, you know? I want to… take the next step.”

“When? He knows you’re a virgin, right?”

“I was planning tonight. And yes, I told him ages ago.” Your heart warmed in your chest. “He’s been waiting for me to be ready.”

Sasha looked past you and dropped her voice to a whisper. “Then go get it!” She singed “have fun” while hurrying away.

“Wait! Don’t abandon me! Sasha!” The sound of her laughter was overrun with snow as Elias dumped an armful of snowballs over your fort. You heard Sasha squeal as Gallows chased after her. “We surrender!” you cried, finishing in a fit of laughter as you took the last second of ‘battle’ to toss snow in Elias’s face, making him sputter.

“You’re going to pay for that, little girl.” Before you could catch your breath, Elias was rolling the both of you through the snow. He laughed as you squealed when some went down the back of your coat. He finally stopped with you on top of him, breathless and nearly frozen. And yet, with how close his face was to yours and how his torso rose to meet your heaving chest, you felt quite warm. Particularly between your legs.

“Elias, I’m cold. Can we go inside and get warmed up?”

“Yeah.” He helped you to your feet. “Do you want some hot chocolate?”

“Maybe later. I was hoping… maybe, if you wanted, that you could warm me up?” Your cheeks flushed as Elias stopped dead in his tracks. His Adam’s apple bobbed. His eyes, pupils already dilating, homed in on yours.

“I think I could manage that if that’s what you really want.” You nodded your head. “I’m going to need more of an answer than that, but lets inside first.” He didn’t say another word or do anything more than hold your hand all the way to his room. Elias ran his thumb along your jawline, keeping his eyes focused on yours. “Are you sure? I don’t want to rush you into this if you’re not ready.”

“I’m sure,” you breathed. You tried again, though your voice keened more than coming out strong. “I need you.” Your heart stopped. One second. Two seconds. It restarted with the third as Elias caught you in a lip bruising kiss. It took him a few extra seconds to get the key to work, but he pulled you close before you could get to far inside. He pinned you between him and the door, capturing you in a kiss, running his fingers through your hair as you held onto his shoulders for dear life. This kiss was deeper than the several before. Like he was relearning you.

You fumbled with his layers when you finally broke apart. He helped you shed yours, dropping them haphazardly as he led you further into his room. The way his muscles rippled under your fingertips sent shivers down your spine. Elias noticed and paused holding the hem of your final shirt.

“Please.”

Then your shirt was gone and you fell onto the bed so Elias could help you wriggle out of the fuzzy tights you had worn as a final cold barrier. Instinctively you covered yourself back up. Again, Elias stopped what he was doing. You took a few seconds to breathe, then lowered your hands so he could see you. A wave of giddy warmth spread through you as Elias made a slight gasp and finally stepped out of his jeans.

He leaned down and kissed your forehead. “You are stunning.” He began to kiss his way down your cheekbones, down the side of your neck and pausing to suck on your pulse point, then across your collarbone. Your skin prickled in goosebumps as he kissed down into the valley of your breasts. When you arched under his ministrations he reached behind you and unclasped your bra with a little difficulty. You giggled as he cursed under his breath. Leaning up, you undid the last clasp and let him toss the offending clothing away. Heat was rising between your legs. You rubbed your thighs together for some relief as Elias kissed and sucked each of your nipples equally. Finally satisfied with their hardness, he continued his journey down your stomach and stopped just shy of the waistband of your panties.

“You don’t have to-“ you began.

“I want to,” he murmured against your skin. “And yes, I do. I’ve got to make sure you’re ready for me.” He kissed your hipbone, then curled his fingers under the band. Once you were bare, he kissed your inner thigh and spread your legs further apart. Your hair kept your fingers busy as you tried not to jolt with anticipation.

You hummed as he gave a tentative lick to your sex. Humming eased into moaning as Elias worked you open, drinking your pooling essence with delight. His hands passed up and down your thighs. Keeping you calm even as you already felt like begging for more. Your hips rolled up to meet him with rising urgency until he pinned you down. With one arm stretched across your pelvis, he eased one finger into your heat, using it to add to the pleasure. Adding a second finger, he scissored you open, curling and stroking until your breath was coming out in gasps. He began to flick his tongue over your clit as he added a third. With a few more strokes and a gentle suck, your walls clamped down on his fingers and your thighs wrapped around his head. You let out a cry of delight then sank into the sheets with a shiver.

“There she is. My beautiful Effy with her perfect voice. I’m going to make you sing all night, sweetheart, if you want.”

Panting, you raised our head to look at him between your legs. His beard was shimmering with your slick and he was smiling just about from ear to ear. You closed your eyes in bliss as he kissed your clit. “Elias,” you moaned. When you opened them he was standing and you could see the prominent bulge in the front of his briefs. You leaned up and tugged on the waistband, both begging him to take it off and to pull him closer. You leaned back on your arms with a whine as he stroked his length, wiggling your hips impatiently. He pushed them down with a chuckle.

Sweet heavens above.

He stopped again, then began to search through his jeans. He muttered, “where is it?” under his breath.

“I’m on birth control.” You caught his gaze. “Have been for a while. Wanted to be ready.”

He nodded and scooted you up the bed. He settled between your knees. “Are you still sure?”

You leaned up and whispered into his ear, “yes, now will you please fuck me already?” Elias growled and sucked on your bottom lip, easing you back into the sheets. He teased his head at your entrance until you were squirming and keening into this mouth.

“Take a deep breath,” he said. He breathed out with you as he eased his cock into you, moving it in and out a little at a time. Several deep breaths later he was fully sheathed in you. Elias’s muscles flexed as he fought to keep his hips from moving. You took three more deep gasps of air before rolling your hips.

Whatever you thought it was going to feel like, this was better.

Little sparks of pleasure shocked their way through your body as Elias began a slow pace. You watched, mesmerized, as his abs contracted and his cock disappeared and reappeared over and over. Heat and cold took turns spreading through your body. Elias caught one of your nipples in his mouth, laving over it. He grunted as you gripped his biceps and dug in your fingernails. You could feel everything building and fought to keep your eyes open.

“You feel so perfect, Effy.”

You could only sigh in response.

He began to move faster, forcing moans and cries past your lips. Skin slapping against skin mingled with Elias’s moans rumbling in his chest and your increasingly louder cries of pleasure.

“Elias, I’m –“ you came with a shout before you could finish. Elias followed soon after with a shout of his own. He gently pulled out and fell to one side of you. After a few minutes of feeling the afterglow, you felt him leave the bed and heard the sound of running water. You tried not to flinch when he pressed a warm cloth to your sex. You weren’t expecting the soreness, but you didn’t exactly dislike it either.

He spooned behind you, rubbing your stomach. “Nap and then dinner?”

You hummed. “Nap, then dinner… then ice cream for dessert so you can warm me up again?”

Elias chuckled and kissed the back of your neck, humming in agreement. You both dozed off within minutes.

Sister in Arms Part 3: Keep Your Power Close

Your “date” has come up with Elias. Finn is still anxious that Bray is going to try something, so he stays ringside and proves to be a helpful friend. But the night does not end in any way that you could have foreseen.

Pairing: None really… a little Elias x Reader (flirt fighting)

Warnings/Promises: wrestling violence, use of steel chair and kendo stick

Word Count: ~1750

Note: Each chapter is getting more fun to write. Thank you guys for all of the sweet notes you’ve been leaving on the other parts. I hope you continue to enjoy this series as it moves forward (or lovingly hate it as drama gets a shot of angst.) Please continue to reblog, like, and comment your reactions to this. If you’ve got theories of what will happen next or things that don’t feel right, let me know. My tag lists are open, as well as my requests [I’m going to keep writing for other fandoms while putting this series out.] Here’s the next part for your pleasure!

Part 1: I Know You Best

Part 2: Enemies Closer

image

From the darkness of the Gorilla, you heard Elias sang about the city hosting Raw. He didn’t mention you. It made your skin vibrate with the thought of irritating him enough to incite a song dedicated to you. But maybe you were getting ahead of yourself.

Finn popped his collar next to you, giving you a nod as your music started. Even from the stage, you could feel Elias’s irritation from the interruption. Swallowing a giggle, you let your face settle into a sly grin against his frown. He gave a shout and stomped off to hand his guitar out of the ring as Finn’s music swell up through yours. Finn stepped out to the deafening cheers of the Balor Club. If you didn’t need the focus so much, you would have smiled as big as your face would have let you. Finn motioned to the ring and stepped in time with you down the ramp.

You heard Corey as you and Finn walked by the announce table. “Finn must not trust Elias, or possibly even Bray who’s been quiet for a few weeks now, to not corrupt this ‘no disqualification’ fight tonight. Y/N might want to keep an eye out for the guitar, too.” Finn grinned at you at the comment. In the ring, you lifted your arms with his entrance with a bright smile that threatened to send your cheeks into spasms, unable to hold it back any longer. Finn took your jacket and rolled out. He waved off your warning face. He wouldn’t interfere unless absolutely necessary. Seeing him ready to spring at the drop of a hat helped keep your heart from thundering out of your chest. It had been a long time since you had gotten to fight with your best friend nearby.

The bell rang and you met Elias in the center of the ring.

“Hello,” he rumbled with a slight nod.

“Hi.” Again, you could feel your cheeks twitch with a smile you didn’t want to show.

Elias held out his hand for a handshake. Your gut told you to slap it away or to use it against him, but a small voice in your head told you to take it as a sign of sportsmanship. A split second after the shake, you bounced away from one another, taking turns stalking and waiting for the other to make the first move.

He moved first, forcing you into a battle of strength that you quickly lost. He forced you back into his corner, taking until the four count to move out of your space. He grinned at the ref, already sure that this would be an easy fight. Your sidekick into his stomach was sure to change his mind quickly. You followed up with a series of kicks. Elias stumbled back, coming to sit on the bottom rope in the opposite corner.

“Huh,” he said.

You smirked at him. Screw hiding your smiling. You were going to enjoy this match and not worry about what faces you made.

Elias was already to his feet and rushing towards you when you moved out of the corner. Elias misread your jump and felt the full effect of a sling-blade, making you laugh. He growled and smiled at you, shoving off your first attempt to pin him. He rolled you to your back and trapped your shoulders under his large hands.

“This is not going to be your night, sweetheart. I promise.”

You kicked your way at two. “We’ll see about that.”

“Not here for a month yet and you’re already using cliché quotes at me? I just lost the last sliver of respect for you.”

You shut him up with more kicks and a few punches. “I don’t need your respect. I’ve done just fine without it.” Even so, you winked at him as he staggered to his feet. You shouldn’t have. The half-blindness, even for just the split second, was enough to block out the oncoming left hook. You rolled out of the ring to take a breather.

Finn was by your side in an instant. “You a’right?”

“Yeah. I know, I know. Less flirting, more fighting. Any tips you can’t hold back any longer?”

Finn smiled. “This is a no disqualifications match, right?” You nodded and let understanding wash over you as he lifted up the ring curtain to reveal the storage of chairs and kendo sticks. He nodded in agreement as you pulled out a chair. His eyes widened, and you turned just in time to avoid Elias’s oncoming shoulder, sending the musician falling back as you attacked that shoulder with the chair. Finn stepped away after giving your back one last encouraging pat.

You gave Elias a few more strikes from the chair, sending him reeling towards the sound booth. It didn’t register that you didn’t have the upper hand until the guitar came rushing towards your face. You dropped the chair and hit the deck, rolling back to your feet a short distance away.

“Hey! Hang on a second.” You kept your hands up until he lowered the instrument/weapon, having lost the element of surprise, and then reached under the ring. Elias caught the kendo stick you threw to him. “Don’t mess up another one of your guitars. They are beautiful and don’t deserve to be smashed. Please.” You waited until Elias gave the guitar back to a techie before rolling into the ring.

Elias brought the kendo stick with him, swinging it around like a baseball bat. With a stutter of frustration, you realized you had left the steel chair on the floor. Elias saw the thought pass across your face and smiled. He chased you to the ropes. The tip of the kendo stick kept you off balance as he dug it into your chest, pinning you against the ropes.

“Finn, no!” You knocked the stick out of the way as Finn rolled into the ring. Elias swung at him, but you stepped between them, taking the shot to your back. You grit your teeth against screaming and weakly pushed Finn away. “I’ve got this. Trust me. That was the deal. I take care of Elias, you watch for Bray.” You waited until your best friend was on the floor again before turning back to your opponent.

The turn was just in time to see the stick coming your way, but not enough to avoid it.

You crumbled to your knees with the strike, then arched as Elias hit you again. You could hear Finn growl.

Elias tossed the weapon away. He picked you up by your hair and then power-bombed you. Your vision flickered when you hit the canvas. The following three-count sounded in the back of your mind as if hearing it through a canyon or an underwater cave.

Finn rolled into the ring, but Elias ducked out on another side. He smirked and winked at you as Finn helped you to your feet. Once you were steady, Finn went to the ropes and shouted at Elias, “I’m gunna kick yer arse!” Finn’s fuming wasn’t enough to keep Elias from sending you one last little wave, then hastily exiting up the ramp. You joined him at the ropes, whispering that you were fine though rubbing the back of your head.

The lights flickered out. When they came back, Bray Wyatt’s face was on the jumbo screen smirking down at you and Finn. Irritated, you turned away and went for some mics. No way was this going to be a one-sided conversation.

“Hello, Finn. Have you rested enough for your mortal form to survive the toil of Raw?” Bray giggled as you rejoined Finn and handed him a mic. “And Y/N, I had hoped our introductions would be in person, but fate did not allow such circumstances.”

“Good grief,” you mumbled under your breath, “he’s even more annoying than I thought.”

“Whot do ya want, Bray?” Finn’s chest rose and fell rapidly as he tried to keep his calm.

“I have some advice, from a god to a demon. And to the one who befriends them.”

“All lack of respect due,” you growled, “we don’t really want it.” The Balor Club cheered in agreement; Finn grinned and nudged your arm in solidarity.

“Go back ta yer backwoods, Bray. Find some other wrestl’r ta play with. This man, and demon, Balor Club is done with the mind games.”

Bray leaned forward in his chair, a laugh rumbling through the sound system. “But that is what I have come to warn you about, Finn Balor. Your power in the Balor Club relies on your ability to keep them entertained. To protect their fickle minds from being stolen by the next best thing. Keep your power close, old friend. It can be taken in the blink of an eye. You are not out of the woods yet.” Bray let out another eerie laugh that was cut off by the flickering of the screen.

When the lights came back up, you could see how white Finn’s knuckles were against the black paint on the mic. You shared a look, then went backstage, both deep in silent thought.

Charlie caught up with you and stepped in front of Finn. “Finn, Bray has seemingly been unable to move on from his obsession with the Demon King. What are your thoughts on his ‘advice?’” She held out her mic.

Finn took a deep breath and sighed. “Charlie, Bray can give all the advice he likes. But it doesn’ mean a ting. Tha Balor Club is not easily swayed by ‘nex big tings,’ he’s too shifty to know reliability when he sees it. My pow’r is just fine, and will be if Bray ever stomachs up enough to show his face in the ring again.”

“What are you going to do about Elias? You seemed pretty angry with his actions tonight as well.”

“Elias will get his due. I’m sure he’s already talkin’ ta Kurt to set the match.”

“We’ll be ready,” you said. Charlie moved the mic so you could be heard. You looked at Finn and said, “you were there for my match, I’ll be there for yours. I know you can handle Elias on your own, but with what Bray said, I’m not leaving your side open for some Wyatt mischief. We’ll be ready, Charlie.”

Charlie was left standing in the hallway as you and Finn left to come up with a plan… if there was anything that could be planned.

Sister in Arms – Part 1: I Know You Best

Finn is taking a beating in a match with Elias when an old friend shows up. The reader finishes the fight, then argues with Finn about his path in the WWE.

Pairing: None (yet)

Warnings/Promises: wrestling violence, language

Word Count: 1114

Note: I don’t like how the Sister Abigail story is going, so I want to try my hand at it. [Edit: Now I know everyone is sick. They got painted into a corner; I still want to try my own bit.] Also, I’m thinking about trying to work for WWE, and the goal is to get into creative. But I want to see if I can keep up with a wrestling serial and keep it good first. I will really appreciate feedback during this series. I’m not trying to fix what they’re writing, just putting my own spin on it. Any notes you’ve got to help me along, they will all be read and loved. Reblogging the life out of this so I can get more feedback from more people will be awesome! I’m still going to write my normal fics, so if you have a request or want to be put on a tag list, let me know! Otherwise, here is the first part. Enjoy!

Finn’s head bounced off the canvas. He groaned and rolled out from under Elias’s impending curb stomp. Though it took some effort, Finn made it to his feet with enough left-over energy to kick Elias in the face over his shoulder. The Balor Club leader rolled over his opponent’s chest, silently begging for the count to be quick.

It was, but not quick enough.

Elias flipped and grabbed Finn by the throat. He threw him into the far turnbuckle, smiling when Finn shouted in pain and fell to his knees. They both knew Finn didn’t have much fight left. Weeks of feuding with Bray had drained the once vibrant Finn; Elias was more than willing to play with the scraps. Elias continued to toy with him, tossing him around the ring with seeming ease.

You heard the announcers over the video playing back-stage. You stood with Kurt Angle, though just off-screen of the camera watching him.

“Elias has got Finn’s number tonight. I haven’t seen Finn looking this defeated since Summer Slam,” one of them said.

“But it’s Finn. He still won that fight, dislocated shoulder and all. I just hope it won’t come that close again.”

You’d heard enough. With a nod to Kurt, you headed to the Gorilla. Music similar enough to Finn’s to make Elias pause in his assault played over the speakers. You burst through the curtain and ran to the ring. You dragged Finn to the edge, then moved him out of the ring.

“Y/N? What are you doing here? I have to get back in there.” He tried to jolt to his feet but fell back holding one of the several sore places on his body. “Don’t do what I think you’re about to do.”

“Too late.”

You left Finn sitting on the floor where he could still see the ring and hopped through the ropes. Elias looked between you and the ref who was getting instructions on his headset.

“You good to finish this fight with her?” he asked. Elias nodded. The ref circled his hand in the air and motioned for the two of you to fight.

Elias smirked as you let the Balor club jacket drop from your shoulders. It had barely hit the floor outside the ring before he was running towards you. He growled when you ducked out of the way. You matched his turn with a high kick to his face. He fell back into the ropes. He rubbed his chin with an impressed grin as he came back to his feet.

You continued to share blows, wearing him down, slowing him down, then speeding up to throw him off rhythm. He was taller and stronger than you, so you kept your blows to mostly kicks, using the bottom rope for an extra height jump when necessary. But he stayed on his feet. Blow after blow thundered into your torso. Your shoulders. You barely avoided one that would have laid you out. Elias stomped off with a growl.

You took his moment of thought to roll him up and keep him under you with all the weight you could.

The bell rung seconds after you released Elias from the three-count. He surged towards you again, but you rolled out under the ropes to Finn’s side. He watched as the two of you backed your way up the ramp. Chants of “Balor Club” filled the air, but you barely heard them.

Backstage you helped Finn to sit on a props box. He slumped against the wall.

“What are ya doin’ here, Y/N? You’re supposed to be home.”

“I’m trying to help out a friend, but he doesn’t seem happy to see me.”

Finn sighed. “I’m happy ta see ya and all, but I didn’t need your help tonight.”

“I know. But what you do need is someone who can help you take a little bit of a break. You’ve been non-stop trying to fight towards the title, but it keeps falling more out of reach the more tired you are.” Finn started to speak but you cut him off. “Tell me I’m wrong.” You stayed standing by his side though you wanted nothing more than to comfort him. Your arms slipped from their crossed position as Finn looked off into space.

“What am I doing here, Y/N? Since coming back, I can’t seem to keep it together long enough to be much of a threat to anybody.”

“You’re letting your conscience rule you. That was fine when we were still in training and had to be willing to talk to one another the next day, but that won’t work here.”

“I don’t wanna release the demon. Despite what I told Bray, the demon is more pow’rful than the man. I may have created ‘im out of my drive and determination, but all of that feels like it’s slippin’ away. If I lose much more, I don’t want anyone to see a weakened Demon King.” Finn’s shoulders slumped further than they were before. You breathed through the tightness in your chest seeing him carry the weight on his soul.

“Why didn’t you call me?”

“You were livi’ yer life. I wanted you to be my last resort if the king failed.” Finn sighed. “I’m sorry, Y/N. I should‘ve called you.”

“Yeah, you should have. But we’re past that. Now to get you on your feet again. First, you are going to sleep. I don’t care if I have to knock you out, and you know I can.” You smiled as Finn chuckled in agreement. “In the morning I’m going to find us a place for you to get a real breakfast. Then you’re going to show me around town, relax a bit.”

“I can’t stop training.”

“I know. Trust me, the boys sent me with a list of things for you to do to get that drive and determination back. Deal?”

“What deal? What are you getting out of this?”

“I don’t have to watch my best friend get his ass kicked by people feeding off his exhaustion. And I’ll get to beat up a few of them till your back to full power. Already talked to Angle.”

“Wait, you’re comin’ to Raw? To stay?”

“Short contract. I’m here as long as you need me. And don’t think you’re gonna get rid of me before then. You’re stuck with me Balor, whether you like it or—” Finn cut off your rant with a tight hug around your waist. You rubbed up and down his back, feeling the tension ease out of them already.

“Thanks, Y/N. Really.” He pulled away and beamed up at you. “So… what do you want to see tomorrow?”

It was a pleasant little coffee shop; the “Espresso Express” was equipped with anything a busy business person could wish for in the morning. It had a small display of pastries, its own roasting machine in the back, and a plethora of espresso machines. The most common delight of patrons was the slightly curved bar that ran most of the length of the shop. The standing bar made service extra quick and fun due to its closeness to the coffee action.

As for you, the main attraction was a certain barista with bright red hair and a smile brighter than the sun.

His deft hands had small cups and plates in front of patrons with a flip. Espresso was measured and served with the timing of a master. And empty cups were left on the counter no longer than ten seconds. At the same time, you had almost seen him tip a tray of drinks with the same hands if he was telling a quick story. They seemed to flip about on their own, making you giggle as one of his fellow baristas ducked to avoid a concussion.

If you were braver, you would talk to him. Unfortunately, you had no such courage. Or luck. You had mustered up the strength to talk to him once with the help of your friends one Friday morning but he had completely missed you. His eyes glanced right over you to the spillage further down the bar and he rushed to it. Instead, you were served by the dark-haired barista; handsome too, but intense and always fawned over by the college women between classes.

It took you another whole month to find that strength again.

“What can I get for you today?”

“A cap… a cappuccino. Please.”

“Coming right up.”

And that was it. You paid by the pastry display to the other barista and left quickly. But at least it was a start, right?

Then disaster struck.

You should have sucked it up and asked your roommate for a ride. Called a taxi. Or put off the presentation for next week. Instead, you left the apartment without checking the weather and carried your presentation notes in a simple non-water-proof manila folder. Between the two blocks between your apartment building and the coffee shop, with two more to your office, you went from enjoying the sunniest day in history to arriving soaked and distraught.

The folder landed with a loud plop on the back corner table. It soon spread its puddle outwards till it was dripping on the floor. Your equally wet scarf did nothing to help the mess. With your head resting on your hands you didn’t notice you had a visitor. Your shoulders tensed as his voice cut through your personal thundercloud.

“What can I get for you today?”

You peaked through your fingers into his bright blue eyes, all the brighter framed in his red curls.

“A puddle to swallow me,” you muttered under your breath.

He chuckled. “If you don’t mind me saying so… it seems the puddle already spit you back out.” He nodded towards your folder. “Is there anything I can do to help with that?

“Not really unless you’ve got a hairdryer in the back.” You let your head sink all the way to the table as he shook his head.

“I don’t think we do. But we do have a fridge that gets hot on top. Do you want to try drying them that way? How much time do you have till your presentation?”

You checked your still-dry phone. (Yay Autobox.) “An hour and a half. If I had waited till my usual time instead of trying to be early I could have known to carry an umbrella.”

“Your boss can’t hold it against you for trying. Let me take those and get you a coffee. Cappuccino, right?” You barely had time to respond before he was off like a shot. He spun in place after a few steps. “Name’s Sami by the way.”

“Y/N.”

Half an hour later your presentation was dry but you hadn’t moved. You giggled as Sami’s hands flew through the air.

“The jazzy version of ‘Moves Like Jagger’ is definitely in my top five oddest songs I’ve heard in the shop.”

“Was it on someone’s phone?”

“No, just on some YouTube playlist one of us found. The rest was fine, just your usual jazz mix we play. This one had slowed down pop and classic rock songs mixed in. Your turn. Top three oddest phone calls to your office?”

You took a breath to tell the story, but it came out in a squeak as your phone buzzed. A tap of your thumb later you cursed under your breath. “Are you kidding me?”

“What?” Sami looked at you. “Did they move up the meeting? I didn’t make you late did I?”

“No, my boss is just…” You held up your phone in front of your face and read, “Hey, Y/N. Sorry I’m telling you late, but we decided last night to move this morning’s presentation to next week. Feel free to take today off, I’ll see you Monday.” Sami frowned as you tsk-ed. “Asshole.”

“Agreed. But do you know what else that means?”

“What?”

“That you can come out to lunch with me. That is… is… if you want to. I thought since we’d already had the coffee then a lunch date would be next. Unless you just want lunch. Doesn’t have to be a date; doesn’t have to be today. There’s a good place I like a few blocks away but I have a gift card and I could give it to you if you want to go by yourself sometime. If you want.” His cheeks had tinted a rosy pink and you held your cup close to you as his hands stopped mid-flight to clasp tightly in his lap.

“I… I’d like that.”

“Really?”

“Really.”

“Cool. Um… which part?”

“Mhmm!”

Z – Zippers

Finn likes playing with your zippers. One on the back of a dress, or the one for your jeans, his fingers are all over it. When he’s helping you dress before an event, they linger, touching skin when they can. Running down the length of it till he breaks away to hold your waist. Shivers are mandatory. At dinner with friends, he’s running them over your thighs and pressing the zipper in just the right places. If he’s feeling really powerful, Finn will pull the tab and play with the fabric of your panties. Then there are the nights when you are ahead of the game, and there aren’t any. Either way, if he plays with your zippers at any part of the day, you know he’s going to make the most of getting you hot and bothered before getting you completely naked.

T – Thighs

I mean, have you seen them? Of course you have. You’ve ridden them plenty of times. Slid back and forth till they shine with your arousal. He doesn’t move, doesn’t touch you except to pull you off sometimes. Some nights you would be almost content to stay on those thighs all night. You brace yourself on his chest, clawing and moaning. Or on his shoulders, digging little half-moons as release builds. You’ve come on his thighs alone. So many times. Whether it’s before or after a match is usually up to him.

Q – “Queen”

It’s his nickname for you. “Darling” is a close second. He says it proudly in public and in private. Finn loves pointing out how diplomatic you are over disagreements. If it’s between you two, he couldn’t be prouder that you usually win. The whole WWE knows to call you if there are going to be issues in something. But you pity the poor soul who tries to call you “Queen”, honorably or degradingly. You are not bossy; you are strong. You are Finn’s Queen, not anybody else’s. Such souls are given admission to the “Finn Balor Kicked My Ass” Club.

P – Phone Sex

Does not exist. He can’t stand hearing you when he can’t
feel you. When he can’t see you become undone with his own eyes. Pixelated
internet calls and grainy audio is never enough. He doesn’t have a rule that
you can’t touch yourself when he’s away. If anything, he encourages it. He
knows you prefer the real thing too. But you try anyway sometimes, knowing
he’ll punish you deliciously for it. For making him ache more than he does when
you’re across the country. But he loves to hear your voice as you describe your
mundane day, or your job, or hear your laugh. He likes to listen, but not to
your half fulfilled pleasure.

N – Neck

He loves neck kisses. Giving and receiving. Finn is a bit taller than you, so the only time you can reach his neck is laying next to him in bed. Or if he lifts you up on something so he can look you in the eye. When Finn gives them, he’s usually coming up from behind you and pressing one gently just above your shoulder. Neck kisses come with neck and back rubs and large, warm hands rubbing the strain of your day out of your shoulders. Neck kisses also come with neck nibbles. And full on bites that leave deep marks without breaking your skin. Bites intensify the warmth the neck kisses brought on.

“Not so fast, Woods. Siren call coming your way.” You maneuvered the controller till the digital Black Canary could send a vocal blast at Xavier Wood’s Green Arrow. The two of you were engrossed in an unofficial Injustice 2 tournament. As much tournament as you could squeeze into his hotel room doubling as video game central for the ‘resting’ athletes. Unofficial in that it wasn’t being filmed for his YouTube channel.

“Seriously! How do you power up to those so fast?” He continued making easy hits as you kept breaking his power-ups.

“She’s got you on the ropes. That’s my girl.” Elias came up behind you and lightly squeezed your shoulders. Tag-team partners, duet partners, and the undefeatable video game team, the two of you were practically perfect in every way. You used his presence to spur you on to finish the match quickly, but your phone rang in your pocket.

“Hey, Elias? Left pocket?” You angled yourself so he could grab it. “Who is it?”

“Your mother.”

The digital characters froze as you launched yourself off the couch. “I have to take this.” Xavier’s flabbergasting fell on deaf ears as your rushed out of the room.

A few minutes later, Elias knocked on your door. He was met with red-rimmed eyes and your shuddering breaths.

“He’s gone. My grandfather.” You couldn’t help but let a sob escape as he pulled you into his chest.

“Y/N, I’m so sorry.”

“It’s okay. Really.” You pulled back and wiped away your tears. “He’d been dying for years. Alzheimer’s. A laundry list of medical complications. A stroke. Now he won’t feel any more pain.” You took a deep breath and forced it out slow through your nose. “And I got to say goodbye. Mom called yesterday and held the phone up to his ear. I’m okay,” you whispered to yourself, “I’m okay.”

Elias pulled you close again as you wrapped your arms around his waist. You buried your face into his chest. It felt like your body was going to vibrate into oblivion till he began to rub your back with his large, warm hand.

“What do you need? Pizza? Ice cream? Chocolate? All of the above? Or do you just want time alone?”

“No. Hell no. I over-think everything. Don’t leave me alone with my brain.” Your voice dropped to a hoarse whisper. “I don’t want to be alone.” You let your mind think for a few more seconds while you breathed in his scent. “Has Xavier canceled our match?”

“No. He’s talking big with Seth about football.” You could almost hear Elias’s eyebrow go up. “He’s perfect for the taking more than he was five minutes ago if you ask me.”

“Perfect.” You took a step back and another deep breath. Checking yourself in the mirror you were pleased to see most of the redness had seeped from your face. “Let’s do this.”

“Do you need more time?”

“Nope.”

“There she is. Ready to get beat, Y/N?”

“Ha. Are you?” You sat down on the edge of the couch and waited for him to join you. Within minutes of having to start a new round, you had his life bar blinking red. You hadn’t said a word since it started. Instead, your mind was a flurry of controller patterns and strategy. Elias’s hand barely registered as he began to rub your shoulder.

“You’re dead meat, Xavier. She’s descended into silent fury mode. Say your prayers now.”

You grinned as you heard Xavier curse under his breath. He let out a string of them as the last of the red slid out of the bar, ending the match. Black Canary had conquered. He continued to talk smack as you stood and let Elias envelope you into a hug. “Hey, Y/N. Are you alright?” he asked, dropping off.

You turned your face towards him. “That call was about my grandfather. He passed away.”

“Oh God. Y/N I’m so sorry. We could have finished another day. I could have made it easier for you to win.”

“No, you couldn’t, trust me. No. I’m fine. I needed the match. So, thanks.” It made your skin flush as the rest of the room offered up their condolences. “Hey guys, could you do me a favor and not spread this around? No tweets or anything. I would like to keep it in-family.”

“Sure.” “Absolutely.” “Whatever you need, Y/N.”

You continued to battle just about everyone in the room till it was dark outside. Nobody could afford to take it easy on you, especially when Elias teamed up with another controller, so there were no sympathy wins. Eventually, the two of you drifted off to your room.

On the bed, curled into each other, you talked for ages about everything under the sun. There were half-hearted bets about who would win in the next PPV. Debates over whether pineapple should be on pizza or not. ACDC vs. Metallica. Then Elias played his guitar till you fell asleep, and a little after so to help you into peaceful dreams. He rested his head on yours and placed an arm around your waist before he too fell asleep.
